Women can take part in certain clinical trials, usually where either the drugs are available on prescription presently or where we have more detailed knowledge of the drug and possible effects on pregnancy. Occasionally studies will require that women included in the trial are either surgically sterilised or have been through the menopause more than 2 years ago. Most studies for fertile women will require that participants use 2 forms of adequate contraception and participants will be required to have a pregnancy test. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are not suitable for trials at PAREXEL. For up to date information on studies available for women visit our trial-listing page.
