- The study involves a new compound being developed for the treatment of epilepsy
You may be eligible to apply for this study if:
You are a healthy male or female aged 18-45
Females must be surgically sterilised or postmenopausal (no regular menstrual bleeding for more than 1 year)
You must weigh at least 50kg
You must have a BMI (body mass index) between 18 and 30
Male volunteers must be willing to use a double barrier method of contraception during the study and refrain from Fathering a child for 3 months after the study
You will not be eligible to apply for this study if:
You must not be a smoker
You must not have donated blood in the last 8 weeks
You must not have any history of epilepsy, fits or fainting
You must not have a history of asthma
You must not have any allergies
You must not have a history of any inflammatory bowel syndrome, gastritis, ulcers, gastrointestinal or rectal bleeding
You must not have history of illnesses to your heart, lungs, liver or kidneys
You must not have tested positive to HIV or Hepatitis
You must not have a history of drug or alcohol abuse
